You seem somewhat upset about my video, but that's completely fine, that's your opinion and I respect it, I'm not here to argue with anyone.
I don't think the songs I used have anything in common with his videos, he never used EDM or Dubstep, and I've never seen him use a single scene from the Eva rebuilds, not to mention scene selection is heavily limited when using twixtor.
It's also ludicrously amusing how there are hundreds of ecchi/fun/action/romance editors whose style is exactly the same as everyone else's, and nobody bats an eye, but when I do anything slightly reminiscent of lolligerjoj, a style I enjoy and adapted with my own ideas and concept, everyone loses their minds.
In all honesty, these comparisons lead nowhere and from my perspective don't even count as constructive criticism, because in the end you're not talking about the video itself, you're simply comparing it to other videos.
Anyways, thanks for being honest about it, even if our points of view are divergent.
you have titles like lolligerjoj
your scene selection like lolligerjoj
your music selection like lolligerjoj ©
what are you bullshiting?
find yourself.
It seems like me using twixtor to make an AMV is all it takes to instantly be using a style someone else apparently owns, but hey it's understandable, not many people make videos like this so comparisons are inevitable.
and using for this someone else style?
what a waste of time and skills...
use normal encoder, like x254\x265, with --crf parameter.
there is no need to force specific bitrate, it's archaism.
I understand what you mean by the "lack of meaning", the whole narrative/plot stuff, some people do find it easier to watch AMVs with them, but to me, the number one goal of an AMV should be to fit the visuals to the audio as best as possible and create a coherent audiovisual experience that represents the music visually. Sometimes this is done as a narrative, sometimes not, but I in the end it's still what's it's called, a music video.
Apologies for the absurd file size of the alternative version, the major reason for that is because I used 25Mbps bitrate instead of the standard 10Mbps for 1080p, not to mention the 60fps equals more than double the size of most amvs, it was the best approach to avoid any pixelation on gradients and on scenes I used Lens Blur to simulate DOF because of the fast paced nature of the video.
I am sure you knew all this as you are quite experienced compared to me, but I feel like I owed you at least a justification, thanks for the recommendation and encouraging words!
но стоит сделать тоже самое кому-нибудь другому — то все отлично
I love you guys

find you own style or add some meanings to your vids
you have all you need to become a good editor
btw, learn encode
>500mb it's a shame
use HEVC at least, it's pretty good right now
