I started this project in mid-September, pushing myself harder than I have in a long time because I wanted it to feel like the kind of high level work I’ve always hoped to create. It’s been both a challenge and a quiet joy to work on.

When I first began making AMVs, I never planned on becoming part of the community. That changed the day I made my first edit in 2011, and I’m grateful it did. I’ve learned and laughed with so many of you. I’ve gained and lost friends over the years so many that the memories blur together now but each of you taught me something about myself that I never could’ve learned alone.

I hope this edit shows that anyone can grow beyond what they think they’re capable of, simply by moving forward even when they don’t know what comes next.

Thank you to everyone I’ve met in these fourteen years of editing. This past year has been one of the best I’ve ever had in the community. But now I’ve reached a point where I need to focus more on myself and step back a little from making AMVs. I’m not quitting, I’ll still make things, just at a slower pace.

And I’ll still be here, cheering on my friends and sharing our love for the craft.
