| [24.01.2014] Anicsi » The winner [SHEEN] | I don't know why people can't give advice when someone clearly asks for it, but, uh, okay, then I'll make the start I guess. First of all I think it's a pretty neat attempt when you say you're still lacking experience. While it was lacking, it was still obvious what you wanted to show. So much for that. I think mostly you need to work on movement (things as camera shakes, zooms and panning) and transitions. Your video is lacking dynamics (not in the scenes itself, but what you 'made' of them), for a song with such heavy beats and synthesizers. Secondly, when you switch between 'dimensions', the dimension of the 'game' and the 'player'/controlling person, you need to have a clearer vision and concept about the surroundings and how you portray them in an interesting way. Similar to a storyboard in a movie, i guess. Think of it as different camera angles and shots. It's hard to explain, but you'll probably get it when you watch a couple of more advanced videos and gain experience ^^ Anyway, this was still not bad, keep it up!
Oh yeah and you have to look into Aspect Ratio. I'm pretty sure the footage is actually wide-screen, isn't it? |

| [24.01.2014] Anicsi » Sounding Waves [xDreww] | That was really beautiful, Andrew! I loved the soothing atmosphere, and how you always came back to the element water at one point. I think it's one of my favorite videos of yours. I actually prefer videos without masking transitions, unless the editor really knows what he's doing it's usually just misguiding and interrupting the flow. Thus I think often the more 'simple' method is a better way to go ;) You still chose your scenes carefully, so they'd transition well, so good job! There were maybe like two or three clips/transitions that felt odd, but it doesn't lessen the overall outcome. Maybe next year we'll get a Trance video with story from you? That'd be really neat! (There's nothing wrong with Anime mixes, but you know me, I'm a story person :p ) Anyway, great job ^^ |

| [24.01.2014] ЮККА » Color of wars [Kuba-Dis] | Спасибо всем за комментарии. По поводу сюжета: я и не заявляла жанр истории т.к. и не делала на нем сильный акцент. |

| [24.01.2014] Cyberphobia » Sounding Waves [xDreww] | This style seems so boring to edit but it´s so nice to watch. It´s a good video in my opinion, but it´s not the best dance of this competition. Good luck anyway. 7/10 |

| [24.01.2014] AdverseShooter » Sounding Waves [xDreww] | You pretty much already know what I think Drew but I'll say it again anyway I found it very shiny and enjoyable to watch, the flow was very good but at times I felt some clips had quite the difference in speed and I also found the water ripple transition unfitting at certain times. It's just minor complaints though as it was really great overall. Keep up the good work! |
